Registered Dietitian
Our Registered Dietitian works with all homecare team members to coordinate the nutrition assessment, intervention, and education of each patient. Our dietitian helps patients and family members set realistic nutrition goals to improve overall health and quality of life and reduce disease complications. Having a full time dietitian on staff is a unique feature that UHHS is proud to offer. Under the direction of the physician, the Registered Dietitian provides the following services:
- Nutrition assessment, recommendations and counseling to treat a specific illness or condition such as diabetes, congestive heart failure, cancer, wound healing, and malnutrition
- Home visits and telephone consultations
- Monitoring of patients with swallowing problems and/or on tube feedings.
